Also, on the reading pages it has both the pages in the entire book AND the number of pages remaining in the chapter.

I find myself struggling to get used to why I’d want the amount of minutes left in the chapter instead of the amount of pages left in the chapter or remaining in the book without it showing the total amount.

Are any of the above noted things something that kindle will be changing in the future?
I know this was dredging up an ancient post. But as a long-time Kindle user who just got a Kobo a few months ago, I had to laugh about how different users want different things. Your post popped up when I googled sleep screen Kobo - looking for a way to turn OFF that annoying sleep screen box that says Sleeping and has the percentage read and 2 hours to go. I don't want that on the sleep screen - if feels like having a paper book with a "Oprah's Book Club Pick" or "Now a Major Motion Picture" sticker slapped on the cover. So I'm searching for a way to turn it off.
And I keep my Kindle set to show the time left in chapter because I read a lot at bedtime, and sometimes I want to know if I should start another chapter. Or if I'm gonna even make it through my current chapter before I fall asleep - often it's time to look for that good stopping point. LOL Truth is I stopped paying attention to page numbers back in 2008 when I got the original Kindle that didn't show page numbers at all. I found the location numbers more accurate anyway - and would rather know the percentage I've read - that's what I usually use page numbers for anyway. Saves me doing the math.
