Calibre DOES NOT allow you to determine the structure of folders. You do not need to have a special one.
It keeps track of where the books are. Just like the old corner Library, just with a larger breadth card catalog. (The image is where I got my first Library card in the 50's. You went to the shelf the card catalog specified) . You simply fill out the search box or use the Tag browser to help construct the search (This, but not That. + or - in the tag browser)
