Glad the problem is solved. I find it convenient to wrap a piece of red colored electrical tape around my Kobo cables, like a little collar, so that I can easily distinguish them from the other cables I have lying around in the 'cable drawer.

One thing to remember is don't tightly wrap, crimp or bend your cables. Loosely coil them.
