But the reason I'm really posting is that when I was talking with one of my friends the other day about this series, she mentioned that someone is serializing it in video, and she thinks the serialization is quite good. She said the video series was called "Dark Wind", which is also the title of the fifth book in the book series. I think she said it was on AMC, but I watch pretty much zero video series, so I could be wrong. Anyway, for folks who like both books and video...
I've always liked this series because my dad's family is from the US Southwest. But I also have found the plots to be puzzling (although there was one where I had, by pure chance, specialized pre-knowledge that made it obvious), the writing to be smooth, and the characters seem to deal in very believable ways with a lot of challenges resulting from the mix of cultures.
