Seems any staff who could remove ads has been among the 16000 Amazon fired and replaced by AI.

Particularly annoying since Kindles for Kids (i.e. actually sold at a premium) now surreptitiously do start showing ads (incl. as in the above examples risqué/scary cover art, hardly of the Kids-safe kind but sent straight into their hands and homes) as soon as used with the account owner's profile.
What would theoretically be the self-help (when winterbroken and offline anyway to not get any ads)
to_disable_the_swipe_to_unlock rather than reward such underhanded upselling with extra $$s per device?
