I can't tell you how many of my elementary school students have told me about movies they've watched that I wouldn't have let my high school aged children watch (they are actually in college now - no wait, Shannon had her last exam yesterday, so she's actually a grad)! Many of the nursery children I work with have seen some pretty scary films which just aren't suitable for 4 and 5 year olds. And then their parents complain when their children wake up in the middle of the night with nightmares.
