FWIW, I just tried this on my Manjaro linux box with current master, and the Inspector's pull down language settings pop-up menu is smaller than the window that popped up and so shows extra white space both to the right and the bottom. It is almost like the font dimensions needed for the menu entries is smaller than the window pane opened. But no matter what I tried, I could not get it to grow, and when I released the menu it closed and the full backing store was restored completely.

So no loss of functionality, just the white space that pops up is too wide and too tall but the menu functions just fine and it is properly cleared when closed.

Strange.

It may be a bug in font sizing or in menu pop-up dimensions, but it just seems to be an visual artifact that does not impact actual usage (at least from what I could see).
