I would dearly love to go see the new Star Trek film -- was it good?
You have to convince yourself that it wouldn't have been better in the theater. With three kids and working, it never seemed like we had the time to go to the movies. Now, the nearest movie theater is 1/2 hour away, so it just seems easier to wait until the movie is out on DVD to see it.

We tried to go see Star Trek at one of the Smithsonian's IMAX theaters the day the movie came out. Not thinking it through, of course, it was sold out until the next week! My older 2 kids went to a late night show (not IMAX) and loved it.
