Goodreads Awards is a Calibre plugin that allows you to automatically retrieve literary awards information (winners, nominees, and more) directly from Goodreads and save them into a custom column in your library.
This is especially useful for those who want to filter their collection by prestigious awards (like the Hugo, Nebula, Pulitzer, etc.) using them as tags.
Key Features:
Automatic Match: If your book already has a goodreads identifier (from the Goodreads Metadata plugin), this plugin uses it directly to ensure 100% accuracy.
Manual Search: If no ID is found, it searches by title and author and lets you pick the correct match.
Smart Filtering: * Option to save only winners, excluding nominations or longlists.
Max Awards Limit: You can limit the number of awards per book to keep your tags clean (e.g., save only the top 3 awards).
Tag Browser Integration: When saved to a "Comma separated text" column, each award acts as an independent tag in Calibre.
How to use it:
Create a Custom Column: Go to Preferences -> Add your own columns. Create a new column of type "Comma separated text, like tags".
Configure the Plugin: Click the plugin icon's arrow and select "Configuration". Select your new column from the dropdown.
Get Awards: Select one or more books, click the plugin icon, and the process will begin.
Installation:
Download the attached .zip file.
In Calibre, go to Preferences -> Plugins -> Load plugin from file.
Restart Calibre.
Requirements: Calibre 5.0 or higher.
