I use Kindle, which is available on Windows, macOS, Linux (with an emulator, I think), iOS, iPadOS, Android, and Amazon eInk devices. It syncs across all platforms, even with non-purchased ebooks sent via the email service, keeping books, reading positions, and notes updated through the Amazon platform. I also use FBReader (from FBReader.org). It’s not the most attractive app, but it works on all platforms and syncs books, positions, and notes via the Google platform. While it offers deep customization, it lacks some basic CSS support.
