The version I made that I call ChareInk7SP (for the current version) is actually more compact. I reduced the line height for Kobo and Kindle using KF8. They are different metadata values. Also, the space and non-breaking space have been reduced in size. So you get more character per line. If he's not using Charis SIL 7, the he'll not have kerning information. I did add kerning to Charis SIL 6 and Charis SIL 7 now comes with kerning info.

However, the other fonts I can see his mods do make sense.
