But if you want story order this is what I came up with, including short stories. Up until book 25 or so, there were clues. Sometimes big slap in your face clues like "continues directly after the events of book xxx" or it will be something subtle like a mention about a previous event, or a date, or even some event occurring in the city/town he is visiting. I've ignored the books that his brother wrote.
