On Windows, Editor unzips under C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\calibre-cache\ee\tmpXXX\a\00000-XXXXX
The "Open the directory (EPUB uncompressed) as a book" feature was misunderstood by the OP as the exploded directory (unpacked folder), as mentioned in a previous post #9.
