Also note http://developer.berlios.de/forum/fo...forum_id=10186 that the way of uploading software into the calculator is sort of peculiar. It seems they use Kermit via some pseudoterminal device.

The HP 48 series has built in serial and IR ports. Both are emulated. The Kermit interface was built into the HP 48 calculator so there is nothing "peculiar" about it.

There are also tools to build card files which you can then "insert".
