Refresh is much like the performance using the on screen keyboard of the iLiad.
X48 itself is an X 11 Saturn CPU emulator. It runs the actual ROM code from an HP 48 SX/GX so you get all the features of the selected calculator. You can even "plug in" expansion packs. You can learn more about it here: http://x48.berlios.de/
The real trick on the iLiad is in figuring out where and how to insert the screen refresh code (as well as compile several needed libraries).
I'm also working on getting an HP11C, HP15C and HP16C up as well.

Thanks also to Design256 for his er_registry.txt hack to launch .sh scripts. That truly makes this a useful tool under 2.7.
