Sadly, I have to agree with @ownedbycats here about one member's continual kvetching.

For me, @Hasdrubal_Lector has it right—Sigil (with occasional sidetrips into calibre's ebook-editor) let me easily fix up my issues with Standard eBooks and their code is a lot cleaner than Gutenberg's idiosyncratic coding. For most people, they would be happy with Standard eBooks formatting since they will never open the ePub and look at it's internals.
