Hi there!

Hi folks,

I'm from Canberra Australia, and just starting to get interested in an e-ink book reader.

I've been using my hacked PSP with bookr for reading text, which I've mostly converted from PDF. I'm starting to find it hard to read for long periods of time, the small LCD screen is probably to blame. I'm also getting annoyed at the software's inability to display accented characters, and other typgraphic entities (emdash, proper quotes, etc).

My favourite at the moment is the Irex Iliad, 8" screen, Community software, and importantly, available for sale in Australia, and only a little bit stupidly expensive (as opposed do the Digital Reader, which is stupidly expensive).

Once I've got one (unless you lovely folk convince me something else would be better!) I'll get in to the openiliad project, and help out however I can.

Cheers
pwarren.
