Basically the Boox NeoReader has a few presets for ease of use for people who are happy with the options as presented to them, and then a gazillion ways to customise it (whether by adjusting the presets or customising your own sets of font face, font size, font weight, margin, letter spacing, line spacing, margins etc and saving them as themes, and of course you can upload and use your own preferred fonts as well).

It does get confusing that it just calls that “larger, bolder font” preset “Bold” and also refers to font weight as “Bold” (which you can adjust under “More settings”), but I suppose anyone interested in more customising options can understand the meanings fairly easily when trying them out.
