I see KOReader supports OPDS so I thought “perfect”, but when I try to sort out the details, it describes using WiFi to connect to the library, but it didn’t sound like I can enter a URL with username/password to browse the library.

Any advice or clarifications? Thanks.
The Libra has a browser (More -> Beta Features). You can also setup sync with something like Calibre-Web (it's a web interface that sits on top of a Calibre database). It basically hijacks the Kobo sync features to sync with your library in a way that feels the same as books bought from Kobo.
