In its defense, it will have: 1) best contrast (fewer layers) 2) more parsimonious power consumption (16 weeks vs 12 weeks (w/front light) vs 8 weeks (Colorsoft)). 3) potentially best writing experience (fewer layers) 4) $70 less.

The downside: 16 GB is the only storage option offered. But that's plenty for notebooks, and for books or PDFs that are not graphics-heavy.

I am thinking seriously about trading in my 2022 Scribe for one - I think that would make it less than $300. I rarely read without light sufficient to read print books.
