TBH, the FAAD library I use for AAC decoding is just taken from a debian arm-hf distro. I tried to use their armel version with the PW2 toolchain, but there's a glibc problem (some math functions missing).
So probably you'll need first to get the faad library and build it with the pw2 toolchain; add the gstreamer dev files (see the kinamp thread) and it should be good to go!
I agree, it would be great to have a PW2 version of this app; and I'll try to give you support if needed.
