Nor do I think Bigme has anything updated in 8". On Android, only Meebook remains (and a few brands for the Chinese market). I don't see Amazon betting on an 8" e-reader, and Kobo is the eternal wait. Right now, it's a bad time for those who want an 8" e-reader.

Apparently there is an 8,2 inch ViWoods eReader called the AiPaper. I don't know if anyone on this forum has one of those but, if so, I would like to know if they have a front reading light. I remember seeing one perhaps 6 or 8 months ago, perhaps a different ViWoods model, but it did not have a front reading light and so it could not be used in a dark room, and that is where I do most of my reading.
It seems about the right size, but it is pretty pricey and I don't want to order it if it can not be used in subdued lighting.
