The Sage is a nice device, I love mine. But its battery life is quite poor, much more so than other Kobo ereaders. If you can live with that, the Sage would be the obvious choice.
Or you could wait and see what Kobo will release in 2026 (if anything). That is, if you can afford to wait and don't need a new device immediately.

I'd probably consider a Sage if I could have jumped on buying one new, but it seems they've been discontinued. Fairly recently from what I can tell. And they're rare. Hesitant to buy a used one. This seems like a terrible time to be looking for a BW ereader between 6 and 10 inches lol.
I can wait if need be, but I hope Kobo comes out with some new options. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
