The thing that gripes me is why can't they give us a toggle and let us choose the kepub renderer for epub3 on our devices?

I can import an epub 3 into the Android app, and get ALL the kepub features I might actually want, like image zoom, pop-up footnotes, font-variant support, with a straight up epub 3. No kepub conversion or extra spans necessary.
