MobileRead Forums - View Single Post - Provide "desktop" file for linux binary version

I guess it doesn't work for me because I'm using "isolated" install. Isn't it possible to provide desktop file there (to default location ~/calibre-bin) so that users can copy to /usr/local/share/applications or ~/.local/share/application ?
