I think the Libra Colour is a good choice. Yes, the screen is a little greyer because of the colour layer but it is still readable in sunlight or a decently lit room without using the front light. BW text and images are still sharp. But it is way faster than prior Kobos and the battery life is good. I think it's definitely worth a look especially if you can get it from some where with a good return policy.
If you aren't constantly comparing to a BW screen the Kaleido 3 screens are IMO fine.
