The Aura One did have a slightly touchy touchscreen, in that it is a bit unpleasant to annotate with, but it's a nice device with a good screen. Still, at 10 years old, the chances of getting a degraded battery are quite high. My official Aura One cover though seems to be falling apart on its own. I've not seen that in other Kobo official covers. The material is just degrading sitting on a shelf!
I'd recommend a Forma or Sage, or keep looking for a Libra 2. Or consider a Pocketbook Era. Or even a Kindle.
With what people are asking for the Forma, Sage and Libra 2 on ebay I've started looking at the 2024 Paperwhite and jailbreaking it. That would let me get a new device so I wouldn't have to worry about the battery and jailbreaking lets me use the KOReader, turn off the Amazon data collection which would be nice and still read epubs without doing any converting. Seems like a win, win, win. Have you noticed any issues or gotchas associated with jailbreaking, other than probably void the warranty? Thanks
Unless you are handy enough with tech to change batteries. (I'm not.)

So I've started thinking about getting a 2024 Paperwhite and jailbreaking it so I can run KOReader. That way I can still access all of my epubs without having to convert or do anything weird. It doesn't really seem like there are any downsides to jailbreaking but I was wondering with all of your travels around the forum if you've noticed any downsides or big gotchas with jailbreaking? Thanks again.
