Aura One is 2016 ... that's getting on. My own Aura One seems to be doing fine as far as the battery is concerned, but I don't read on it as often as my Sage or Forma. Still, I did haul it out for some reading recently, and saw no evidence that the battery was in bad shape.

The Aura One did have a slightly touchy touchscreen, in that it is a bit unpleasant to annotate with, but it's a nice device with a good screen. Still, at 10 years old, the chances of getting a degraded battery are quite high. My official Aura One cover though seems to be falling apart on its own. I've not seen that in other Kobo official covers. The material is just degrading sitting on a shelf!

I'd recommend a Forma or Sage, or keep looking for a Libra 2. Or consider a Pocketbook Era. Or even a Kindle.

Unless you are handy enough with tech to change batteries. (I'm not.)
