This problem only happens to me with loans from the virtual library eBiblio, which provider is De Marque, according to metadata from file .lcpl. Loan returns don't work either.
With other providers, as Open LIbrary, the reading and loan return work perfectly. So, it has to be a communication problem with one of the provider's endpoints.
