So I'm sure it was the right location.
Also I want to note that the book I owned never let me download it, I even tried on a difference device and the download icon was only showing for a few seconds after re logging to the desktop app (I assumed it was autodownloading, but it may be a difference with the Kobo JP store, which I know prevent some books to be downloaded).

I inspected the sqlite file and it contained a table called userkey, but a very small one weirdly enough.

I downloaded the 'DeDRM_tools_7.2.1.zip' available on github, and installed both the extension successfully (Obok and DeDRM). I'm fairly certain the issue lies with the fact that the file doesn't contain my (full) userkey. But I can't be sure bc that's the only book I own on Kobo.
Additionally I went to try the ADE way, but it's not possible in my case because my book can't be downloaded on the website, there is no such option.

There are newer versions of DeDRM too you should try: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=253119

I personally haven't run into any books that won't download. Can you open the book in Kobo desktop? If so, then it should be downloaded.
