It's still cold. Yesterday the temperature stayed below freezing. I had to get some eggs from the supermarket for our parents and when I went it was -4℃, but there was an icy wind so it felt like -12℃.

Right now (10.30am) it's -4℃, but it should warm up to around 2℃, and another sunny day, so that's nice.

On New Year's Eve it's going to rain, normally that would stop people from taking their time setting off their fireworks, but it's the last time non-professionals are allowed to set off all but the lightest form of fireworks (eg sparklers will still be allowed). A lot more fireworks have been pre-ordered (sale starts on Monday). So unless there will be a heavy downpour it'll be a very noisy night. At least if it drizzles (which is the current prediction) things are less likely to catch on fire.
