Well, Bulk metadata edit has an
Add Tags (and / or remove) that can be used to apply changes to ANY SELECTED group of books.
Select books: Tap 'E' or use the icon: fill in the boxes as desired.
REMEMBE: This applies to ALL THOS SELECTED and there is no easy undo.
ALWAYS CHECK the calibre STATUS LINE before clicking OK or Apply
