Just a report.
Still unable to root. Any ideas welcomed.

Tried Windows variant of EDL.
It is the same as on Linux. I am able to read boot partitions. Can write back patched by magisk. But with patched boot Palma does not boot to android - only fastboot.

With Windows EDL I just do not know how to do the trick to set active boot partition to A and then back to B to be able to boot the device again after restore. This can be good information for any Windows users who want to try luck.

In the meantime, I put some my notes about Palma 2 Pro to presentable form and uploaded to github.

Also backed up whole storage (takes about hour, has 125GB).
From this backup I was able to extract some data. But I am not able to figure out how to open extracted system_a partition (2,5GB). On other phones (Fairphone for example) it is no problem, because extracted partition is in ext4 format. This one not.
But without root this is soon to try modify system packages.
