I just released v2025.12. This update includes an automatic update checker + patcher. Thus, it should be the last one that needs to be applied by hand 🪄

If anyone is interested, I've written the updater logic mostly plugin-agnostic and with a federated PluginShare control API. If you want to copy it for your plugin, take a look at updatemanager.lua.
FWIW, I had written the bulk of code for updating before the app store plugin was released 😅
