Hi everyone,
I'm a new narrator experimenting with classic public domain audiobooks on YouTube, and I'd love to get some honest feedback from this community.
I've just uploaded two consecutive parts from the beginning of Bram Stoker's Dracula (Jonathan Harker's journal), each in a different narration style:
The first part (traditional style): A straightforward, steady, and somewhat monotone narration – classic audiobook feel with clear and even pacing.

The second part (atmospheric style): A moodier delivery with a different voice tone and gentle rain sounds in the background for extra immersion.

Together they continue the story seamlessly, but the styles are quite different.
Could you please give them a listen (each is just a few minutes) and share your thoughts?
Which style did you enjoy more, and why?
Did the rain sounds enhance the horror atmosphere or feel distracting?
Any tips on voice, pacing, effects, or improvements in general?
I'm still very much learning, so all feedback – positive or critical – is hugely appreciated and will help me improve.
The channel is LitVibes Audio (super new and small). If you enjoy this kind of atmospheric classic horror narration and want to see more, it would be really wonderful if you subscribed – it truly helps the channel grow and motivates me to keep recording.
Thanks so much in advance for listening and sharing your opinion!
