We just got my parents' wedding album!
They never made one themselves and regularly talked about wanting to do so. I recently digitized those photos, my sister and I selected 72 and I put them together in an album and ordered it. We ordered a linen cover with an image which really fits with the theme they had for the invites, menu and name cards. We left a blank page and will glue in an envelope so we can include those, too.
Is the quality of the pictures great. No; they were taken in 1979, have yellowed a little bit (or maybe they were originally warm tinted) and then I digitized them. Some have been blown up a bit, though we intentionally ordered a smaller photo book. Hopefully we made the right choices of which photos to include of the guests, mostly those we know.
I love seeing pictures of my grand parents and even my grandmother's stepmother (who raised her) and her father. Those two broke up when my grandmother was young and didn't get on well, so had to be kept apart. My great grandmother was invited to the ceremony and dinner and my great grandfather came to the party. When I digitized the pictures we went through them and it was so much fun hearing all the stories.
Hopefully our parents like the gift.
