I'm with Neko... if it's something you expect to keep, like books, I want to be able to input them into the storage of my choosing, be it SD card, RAM, hard drive, or rewritable CD/DVD. An SD card, paper card or CC would be acceptable for more volatile documents, like daily newspapers or magazines, but I'd still want to be able to transfer all or part of a paper or mag in my desired storage medium for long-term storage.
