I have seen reports of people using a 404050 battery which is slightly thicker at 4.0mm but narrower and shorter at 40mm x 50mm. One example from Amazon.com can be found at https://www.amazon.com/AKZYTUE-1200m.../dp/B07TVDMTPF for $10.09 US. Though since I geolocate to Canada, that price may be very inaccurate.

While I was looking at the specs of the battery I removed and reconnected the battery cable a couple of times and got the device working perfectly. Thanks a lot for your help!
