That is simply not true. The K2 was my first e-ink device and it was vey useful to me for years. Even after I got a K4NT I kept my K2 at work for times when I forgot to bring my K4NT and to be able to buy ebooks on 1 day special without having to remember when I got home or even go through all the overhead of making a purchase from home.
Kindles are horrible for browsing around for books, but 15 years ago they were great for buying and immediately starting a specific e-book.
I never got a K3 because I didn't consider it sufficiently better than a K2. That view eventually changed, but by then the Voyage blew all its predecessors out of the water.
