Oh drool! Italian beef sandwiches are necessities whenever we visit and it is a family get-together. The brother-in-law leaves and returns with a big steaming aluminum restaurant-sized pan of beef, and we eat on it all week long.
And don't even get me started on Vienna beef hotdogs. I could happily exist on those for the rest of my life! Would hate to have to choose between those and chocolate!

Because my dad was the head football coach at my high school, my mom used to have a homecoming party every year. She always served Italian beef with the best hoagie rolls. I had completely forgotten about that until you mentioned the aluminum pan. I definitely need to get my mom's recipe. Thanks, Dixie!
