You missed an option.

"I don't care about the author's gender, and I've no idea what ratio my books have"

However, since it's not there, I've taken a quick look at my library. Most of the books I've read are by male authors, in about an 80:20 ratio.

I suppose a relevant question would be - what's the ratio of male:female authors over all published books?
