Once again, there's a Joffe/Choc Lit free romance for the weekend, and once again, there are only a few hours left, since I've been swamped. My apologies...

This weekend's free book is somewhat appropriately titled, As Weekends Go. It's a sports romance, and the first in the Hawksley Manor series by Jan Brigden.* I haven't read anything by this author, but, as noted above, it's FREE.* *So you can just try it, and delete it if you don't like it.

A heartwarming, uplifting sweet sporty romance.

What if your entire life changed in the space of a weekend?

Bubbly Rebecca Stafford needs to rediscover her sparkle.

No thanks to her good-for-nothing, soon-to-be-ex-husband. So her best friend Abi convinces her to get away from it all at the exclusive Hawksley Manor hotel.

Pampering and relaxation is just what Rebecca needs. But when she trips down the stairs in a humiliating lack of coordination, it’s none other than celebrity footballer, Alex Heath, who comes to her rescue.

Rebecca convinces herself she doesn’t have to be embarrassed. It’s not as if she will ever see him again. Until Alex reappears, this time inviting her to join him for drinks in the VIP lounge.

The more Alex and Rebecca get to know each other the more they are surprised by how much they have in common, and by the undeniable spark between them. But can two people from very different worlds find happiness together . . .

Or will the final whistle go on their relationship before it can begin?
