I envisaged a 40V 30 kHz (or more) AC coax where there are multiple fibres in the dielectric. So 100s of Gbps data and up to a kW of power. No local SMPS needed for low voltages, but simple transformers. Small due to high frequency.
In 1980s there was an industrial controller using quad isolator transformers (1kV isolation?), like used on ethernet cat 5, in tall DIL package. AC power at 500 KHz was also clock for CMOS cpu on isolated i/o board. The other three were data in, data out and data clock.
