I don't think there is a static version of libcrypt. It looks to be tied to glibc. I think the best option would be to rebuild against the latest version of the SDK, but unfortunately I can't figure out how to get at it (I downloaded SDK-B300-6.8.7z from github but I can't unpack it on my slackware desktop). I don't mind adding libcrypt to the fwv6 package and adding it to LD_LIBRARY_PATH in the startup script, but I can't test it. @CrazyCoder PM me if you would be willing to test a new version with libcrypt.so provided.
