I can't figure out what you mean by the above. In my Calibre, I have a toolbar button "Calibre Library" and from there I can choose "Switch/create library". Is that what you mean? I don't see any way from there how to send books to the Master library.

(and is the definition of a Calibre library approximately "the folder where metadata.db resides"?)
