Problem with Tab XC keyboard covers

Short story: In June I bought a Tab XC with a keyboard cover to use as a laptop. I loved it, but the keyboard was creating multiple random spaces instead of one. I contacted Onyx support, who were very kind, and they took the damaged one and sent me a new one that worked perfectly. Until September. In September, the second keyboard literally died within minutes. I contacted Onyx support again, and this time they sent me back to the German seller where I had bought it the first time. I sent the non-functioning keyboard back, at my own expense, and today I received the third keyboard... which creates random spaces like the one in June.

I'm quite depressed. I contacted support again and we'll see what they say, but I have the impression that these Tab XC keyboards have *major* electronic problems.

I hope Onyx could provide a new keyboard cover model that's suitable for the Tab XC, because the quality of the three keyboards I've had in a few months is truly unprofessional.

A question for everyone: I'm the only one? Are there any viable alternatives? Are there keyboard covers for the Tab XC, perhaps Bluetooth-based, that are safe for the screen and reliable?

Last question: isn't there some utility that can intercept double spaces and convert them to a single space? There are programs like Androffice that do this, but not at the system level (External Keyboard Helper, which I use, unfortunately doesn't have this feature).

Thank you.
