I quite enjoy a hero's journey, especially in fantasy. I recently read the excellent Darkwater Legacy series by Chris Wooding, I would class them as a hero's journey and can highly recommend them. Another good hero's journey/ fantasy series is The Godserfs series by N.S. Dolkart
