Did I reach some limit in the coding?
I've been working through a new epub3 document and reached the stage of adding a <section> to include all the body of the chapter.
I highlighted everything between the <body> and </body< tags, then used Insert > Aria Clip. For the main chapters of content, I selected "Section: Chapter (chapter)" .
All chapters, except Chapter 4, installed the <section> correctly with :
<section role="doc-chapter" epub:type="chapter" aria-labelledby="headingID">.
Chapter 4, subjected to the same procedure, produced nothing despite several attempts.
When I examined the chapters' contents in LO Writer, I found the following sizes:
Chapter 3: 4273 words - Aria clip ok
Chapter 4: 5246 words - Aria clip did not work
Chapter 5: 1083 words - Aria clip ok
Chapter 6: 3540 words - Aria clip ok
Although Chapter 4 is heftier, it is a discrete subject and I wouldn't normally think of splitting it. I can, of course, edit for the Aria clip manually.
Is there a built in limit of the size of what can be covered by the \1 in the clips?
