The Sage is certainly not going to last for nine years anyway. The battery life on mine has grown noticeably worse after 4 years of daily use, and it was poor to begin with. I'm lucky if it will last for a couple of years more, but I'm afraid not. I still have the Libra, of course; but as the Libra 2 is known for its unpredictable SD card failure, who knows if it will outlast the Sage.
The prospects are dim, if Kobo is not going to release anything black and white in the 7-8'' range.
