Changing calibre and plugin versions won't help, it's a Kindle firmware issue.
There is a way around this, But it needs K4PC 2.8.0 (I think that's the version) and it needs to be done for each eBook. So really, it's not all that convenient. I'm sticking to my Kindle Touch way of doing it. I mostly get KF8 with some Mobi.
